About

Fabian’s career (for the most part) has revolved around tertiary and professional education.

After graduating with a degree in Mathematics in 2007, he started off as a lecturer at a private college, where he lectures in subjects such as Quantitative Methods for Business, Engineering Mathematics (with MATLAB too), Statistics for Computer Science (using SPSS). With a strong passion for learning, he went on to do his MBA and completed the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) exam from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2008.

At the end of 2010, he went on into banking, where he worked in the area of Asset and Liability Management, specializing in Liquidity Risk Management (well, he was also good at Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book). During that period, he studied for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and had an opportunity to teach part-time in the CFA Program.

At the end of 2013, he was offered an opportunity to go to Singapore to set up the branch of a private education institute, where he would hold the position of Associate Director (Academic) and then becoming Centre Director in 2014. He also holds the position of Director in Teaching and Learning with the institution.

He currently teaches the CFA Program (mainly Level 2 and 3), CPA Australia (Financial Risk Management), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), GARP’s Sustainability & Climate Risk (SCR), and the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential from the IFRS Foundation. His interest currently lies in creating educational content, posting educational videos on YouTube and learning new things in Finance, Risk and Treasury.
